Tanuja Says She Is No Mood For An Autobiography

Tanuja, the beautiful actress of yesteryears, younger sister of legendary actress Nutan, daughter of Shobhna Samarth, and Mother of Bollywood heartthrob Kajol Devgan has been famous throughout her career to have her own ideologies and viewpoint. The bold and elegant actress has always been open with her thoughts and this time too she gave media a crisp reply. Recently, after Actress Asha Parekh released her Autobiography ‘The Hit Girl’, media approached Tanuja asking about her plans for an autobiography. To which her reply was a strict ‘No’. Tanuja said, “I don’t believe in Biographies. Why do you need a biography when you are still alive?” She added, “I respect other’s decision of getting a biography done but personally I am in no mood to pen down mine.” “I have given several interviews, if someone really wishes to know about me they can go through them. Or if it is really required, one can do it once I am dead and gone, but while I am alive I don’t wish to disclose my personal life to everyone,” she said sternly. The 71-year-old actress was in news last week due to her ill health. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, due to acute stomach ache. The actress is all set to make a comeback on television with her new television drama with Star Plus, named ‘Aarambh’. The show is based on the clash between Dravidians and Aryans and she will play a pivotal role in the show.
