Ranveer Singh Expressed His Excitement On Playing Kapil Dev At 'Relive 83' Launch

Recently we shared the news with you all that Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s next project which will be based on 1983 world cup.And today the makers have made an official announcement about their collaboration on the movie based on India's iconic win of World Cup in1983. The actor-director duo honoured the 1983 squad and legendary cricketers namely Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Kirti Azad, Roger Binny, SS Madanlal, Sandeep Patil, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Yashpal Sharma, Dilip Vengsarkar and Sunil Valson marked their presence at the event. And today the makers have made an official announcement about their collaboration on the movie based on India's iconic win of World Cup in1983 and called it 'Relive83'. The actor-director duo honoured the 1983 squad and legendary cricketers namely Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Kirti Azad, Roger Binny, SS Madanlal, Sandeep Patil, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Yashpal Sharma, Dilip Vengsarkar and Sunil Valson marked their presence at the event. At the event Ranveer was asked about his reaction on being offered the role of Kapil Dev, he stated, "I was born at the time when cricket was a big thing. And when Kabir came to me and said that there will be a film on 83 world cup, I was like finally. And when he was narrating it to me, I was like wow. It is not a story just about cricket but a human story." Till now only Ranveer has been finalised for the role of Kapil Dev. And rest of the cast is still to be finalised. The cricketers present at the event had many stories to tell about the world cup and it is indeed going to be an amazing experience to watch the iconic moment on the silver screen. The event was a memorable one for many reasons and that only increases the excitement for Kabir Khan's next project.
