Janhvi Kapoor’s 'Gunjan Saxena' To Release Date Finalized

The Janhvi Kapoor starrer upcoming film 'Gunjan Saxena' is doing rounds on the internet as fans are awaiting a release date for the movie. Following the anticipation, the release date of the movie has finally been released. Yes, that's right. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will release on 12 August, 2020. In view of the current coronavirus pandemic outbreak, makers of the movie had skipped a theatrical release and had resorted to the popular streaming service: Netflix. OTT platforms and digital streaming services have come to the rescue among people for entertainment in these uncertain times. Besides the release date of the movie, the first look of Janhvi's co-stars was also revealed. The stills of the actors that had been revealed displays actors Angad Bedi donning an Army uniform while Pankaj Tripathi is being seen giving her daughter Janhvi a tight, warm hug. A snap of Janhvi has also been unveiled wherein she can be seen standing proud in her uniform.

Gunjan Saxena film features Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in lead roles. It has now been confirmed that Pankaj Tripathi essays the role of Janhvi's character Gunjan Saxena in the film while Angad Bedi portrays the role of her brother. The movie is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced jointly by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The movie revolves around the life of Gunjan Saxena, the first female and Indian women Air Force Pilot during combat. While the movie was earlier scheduled for a theatrical release on 13 March 2020, the release had to be postponed and shifted to a digital one amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Following the uncertain condition, Gunjan Saxena has been resorted to a release on Netflix and will now premiere on 12 August, finally. Fans have been anticipating the release of the movie ever since it was announced.
