Rajkummar Rao To Essay Prominent Role In Hindi Remake Of 'Hit'

Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao has been roped in to star in the Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu movie Hit: The First Case. The Telugu movie had been directed by Sailesh Kolanu and interestingly, the Hindi remake of the movie is also helmed by Sailesh Kolanu. The thriller and mystery movie revolves around the story of a cop who supposedly happens to be tracking a missing woman. While Vishwak Sen had essayed the lead role in the movie, Rajkummar Rao will essay the prominent role in the Hindi version. It is speculated that the Hindi remake of Hit would be ready to hit the theatre screens in 2021 as the movie is currently in the phase of pre-production. According to reports, Rajkummar Rao will portray the prominent role of the cop who is in the journey of tracking a missing woman.

An excited Rajkummar Rao was quoted saying that he instantly connected with the plot of the movie as soon as he saw the Telugu version of Hit. Rajkummar reportedly believes that the story is quite engaging and would seem related to the environment in today's time. Rao believes that as an actor while he happens to be looking forward to essay the roles of characters that he has not yet explored, Hit movie actually provides him the chance to do the same. Rajkummar Rao, as per reports, is very excited to go on the film journey along with the director, Sailesh and producer, Dil Raju.

While Hit has been planned as an investigation franchise in the Tollywood industry, director Sailesh Kolanu has decided to follow the same in the Bollywood industry as well. However, Sailesh Kolanu has been very confident about casting Rajkummar Rao in the lead role as he believes that the actor would be able to give a matured performance and bring darkness to his role as his role revolves around a troubled character. Sailesh reportedly had been following Rajkummar's performance since Shaitaan following which the director believes that Rajkummar Rao is a terrific actor with amazing and surprising performances.
