Ranveer Singh To Play Cricketer Kapil Dev In Kabir Khan’s 1983 World Cup Based Film

After giving an amazing performance in ‘Bajirao Mastani’, Ranveer Singh is on a roll, he got some good and interesting roles after that and it would be amazing to see him in that. His next film is ‘Padmavati’, where he will be seen as Alauddin Khilji and he will be the antagonist of the movie, it will hit the screens on 1st December and expected to be one of the biggest films of India. Next, he will be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, where he will play a rapper. And now, Ranveer got another interesting role, this time he will be seen as Kapil Dev. It has just been announced that filmmaker Kabir Khan is all set to direct a movie based on 1983 World Cup, the year when India won the 1st cricket World Cup. Now, sports-based films are obviously the key to success in Bollywood and when it comes to cricket, no one can beat it. Recently, we saw a biopic on India’s former skipper MS Dhoni, where Sushant Singh Rajput impressed everyone with his portrayal of Dhoni. Ranveer as Kapil Dev sounds interesting; he is an awesome actor and will play the role with all his heart. The rest of the cast has not been announced as of yet, and it would be interesting to see who will play the rest of the players. Knowing that Kabir Khan is directing this movie, who has given gems like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, this movie will be something to watch out for. Right now, Ranveer is busy with the promotions of ‘Padmavati’, where he will be seen as the antagonist after that he will be shooting for ‘Gully Boy’ with Alia Bhatt and he has also signed a movie with Rohit Shetty. The release date of the movie has not been announced as of yet, but as the things are going right now, we can say that it will release next year or 2019.
