‘Padmavati’ Release Date Postponed, It Won’t Release On 1st December

The ‘Padmavati’ controversy has been making headlines for quite some time now, it all started when the trailer released and the Rajput Karni Sena demanded the ban on the movie; now, it looks like they are succeeding on what they want. The Viacom Motion Pictures has confirmed that the movie will not release on the scheduled date, which is 1st December, this is obviously a bad news for the makers of the movie as a lot of hard work and dedication goes in making a movie. Well, the controversy is that the movie shows Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji’s controversial scene; however, the director of the movie Sanjay Leela Bhansali has denied and said that there’s no sequence of Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji in the movie, they have made this film with full responsibility and kept the honour to the Rajputs. The spokesperson of Viacom Motion Pictures said that the film is an eloquent portrayal of a tale that will fill every Indian with pride and showcase our country’s story-telling prowess across the globe. It also said that they have faith that they will get the clearance to release the film. Now, this is not a new this in Bollywood, we have seen the movie dates changing because of the political issues and this certainly is a bad thing for the Industry, the new release date of the movie has not been announced as of yet, let’s see when this movie comes out as it got all the attention from everywhere and there’s no doubt that it will drag the audience to the theatres. It stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
