'Raag Desh' Box Office Collection Day Wise Budget Hit or Flop

Raag Desh Box Office Collection - The National Award winning director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s latest offering ‘Raag Desh’ released yesterday on 28th of July.  The movie is set in 1940’s is based on a long-forgotten chapter of Indian history when three officers – Shahnawaz Khan, Prem Kumar Sahgal and Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon – of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army (INA ) who were captured and put on trial for waging war against the King, and murder of few Army men. The movie made in a decent budget is a patriotic one, and has received mixed reviews and below average opening at the Box Office. The movie’s opening day collection was 0.14 Crore. Chances are there that the movie picks up the momentum and show notable growth during the following week with word of mouth. The movie gives a clear picture of how the country fought for independence. Though many movies in the past are made on the subject, however, this is the first time the three unsung heroes of INA have got the limelight and showcases their side the of the story.  This could be a beneficial factor for ‘Raag Desh’ Box Office collection. However, we can’t ignore the fact that the movie has some tough competition of ‘Indu Sarkar’, ‘Mubarakan’, and in the following weekend release of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ might hamper its growth.
