Sushmita Sen To Debut With Web Series 'Aarya' on Hotstar Specials

Bollywood celebrity and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is finally making a comeback in upcoming web series ‘Aarya’. The actress is all set to essay the lead role in the upcoming crime thriller series. Aarya will premiere digitally on Hotstar Specials and is slated to start streaming from 19 June, 2020. Sushmita Sen happens to be one of the most acclaimed and well-known stars in the Bollywood film industry. The actress has worked in around 30 movies and is popular in the Bengali and Tollywood film industry as well. Sen was last seen in the Bengali film, Nirbaak five years back in 2015 after which the actress sustained from working in any further projects. Interestingly, the actress this year makes a comeback as a boss lady in the web series.

Sushmita Sen is well-known for her splendid and talented acting skills and is expected to deliver another power-packed performance in the web series through her witty character ‘Aarya’. Aarya happens to be a remake of the popular Dutch crime drama series Penoza and revolves around the story of an illegal drug chain. The web series includes an ensemble cast of Sushmita Sen who plays the role of the protagonist 'Aarya', Chandrachur Singh, Sikander Kher, Alexx ONell, Namit Das and other actors. The web series is produced collaboratively by Endemol Shine India and Ram Madhavani Films. Sushmita reportedly personally considers the plot as a story of 'family, betrayal and a mother' who could do anything to protect her family. Sushmita was also quoted saying that her first day of shoot was a disaster and that she felt like a newcomer while working. The web series is expected to stand out as a hit.
