Resul Pookutty wins Best Sound for India's Daughter At Golden Reel Award

Oscar winner South designer Resul Pookutty was awarded with golden Reel Award for Documentary 'India's Daughter'. This event was held in Los Angeles on Saturday. Resul was nominated under 2 categories of Motion Pictures Editors 63th Yearly Golden Reel Awards. He got this nomination for Unfreedom and India's Daughter. Both the films were banned in India. award Pookutty wins for Best Sound and Music Editing : TV Documentary Short Format. He wrote on his twitter page on Sunday, 'We have won the Golden Reel Award for India's Daughter. India for the first time in Asia has got Golden Reel Award.' India's Daughter is based on the real incident of rape case on 16 December, 2012. Resul dedicated this award to the victim Nirbhaya. He wrote on the twitter, 'This is true that I have got this. This is for India's youth true feeling, I dedicate this award to Nirbhaya.' Finally, Leonardo DiCaprio wins the Award of Best Actor for his film 'The Revenant' at 88th Oscar Awards.
