Khaali Peeli Starring Ananya-Ishaan to Release Digitally on Zee Plex

The upcoming Bollywood romantic action movie 'Khaali Peeli' has joined the list of movies aiming for a release on the digital OTT platforms. The movie is all set to premiere on the OTT platform, Zee Plex and is scheduled to release on 2 October, 2020. Makers of Khaali Peeli have decided to skip a theatrical release for the movie owing to the current coronavirus pandemic that has been doing rounds all across the world. The announcement and information were revealed along with a poster featuring the lead actors in the film, Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter. In the new poster, Ishaan can be seen in the look of a taxi driver, sitting inside a black and yellow taxi with a bossy look and attitude. Ananya, on the other hand can be seen sitting on the bonnet of the taxi, donning a fashionable outfit. A bag containing a lot of money and a red gun can be seen near the actress. A tagline "ek ladka ek ladki aur ek mad ride" is also featured on the taxi.

Khaali Peeli happens to be the directorial debut of director Maqbool Khan and is produced by Ali Abbas Zafar, Zee Studios and Himanshu Mehra in collaboration. The movie stars Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter in prominent roles alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Satish Kaushik. The teaser that has already gone on the floors fell prey to criticism and dislike on the grounds on nepotism. Khaali Peeli revolves around a taxi driver - Blackie, essayed by Ishaan and a prostitue - Pooja, portrayed by Ananya, who are on a mission to escape goons who happen to be chasing Pooja and the money she stole from a brothel. The movie is all set to be a romantic action flick, while characters will be seen on a chase and catch, Tom and Jerry mission.
