Mandira Bedi Says That the Beauty Of Short Films Is That They Are Out Of The Box

Today short films are slowly making a visible impact in Industry and are picking up the pace in the country. Short films are actually the first step in filmmaking and we can showcase whatever we wish to through a short film. Actress Mandira Bedi came in favour of short films, she said that the beauty of short films is that you can do something which is out of the box. She also stated that the roles and stories are bit different in the short films and it is a challenging thing. Bedi has done some short films in the past including ‘Deuce’ and ‘Ek Baar Phir’, in all these years she has shown love and passion for the short films. “I have done a lot of crazy things while shooting for short film, I drove a truck in the Himalayas for a TV show last year. That was a very good and beautiful phase of my life,” she said. She has recently seen in ‘The Gift’, talking about which she said, “When I heard the script, I absolutely loved it and instantly wanted to be a part of it. It had gripping narration and unexpected plot.” She also stated that she thoroughly enjoyed playing a cop in the short film. She is looking to do more short films in the future; she has just finished shooting for ‘Vodka Dairies’ with Kay Kay Menon. And it’s good to see mainstream actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Radhika Apte doing the short films. They were recently seen in the short film ‘Kriti’, which was one of the best 20 minutes films.
