Ranbir Kapoor Might Be Seen As Kishore Kumar In The Biopic Directed By Anurag Basu

It’s been rumoured for quite some time now, that filmmaker Anurag Basu is planning the biopic of the iconic singer Kishore Kumar featuring none other than Ranbir Kapoor. Earlier, it was said that Anurag wanted this film to make in one go but things didn’t work out. He has been planning to make this ambitious film for past five years but something happens every time. But now it looks like we will see the biopic very soon, Anurag in a recent interview said that he wanted to make this film just after ‘Barfi’ but Ranbir got committed to ‘Bombay Velvet’ and I decided to make ‘Jagga Jasoos’ first and now he is again busy with Sanjay Dutt biopic and ‘Brahmastra’, he also confirmed that he will be doing Kishore biopic for sure. Anurag also met Kishore’s family a few years ago, his son Amit Kumar made it clear that nothing would go into the film without his consent, not any segment not even any song, which is quite frankly a little too much but Anurag agreed to that. But according to a source, Anurag and Ranbir were not happy with that, but to make a movie on someone, you have to take certain responsibilities. Apparently, Anurag has to take the rights of Kishore Kumar songs from Sa Re Ga Ma. However, we don’t know when this movie will begin but as the things going right now, we can say that we will see Ranbir Kapoor as Kishore Kumar in the biopic. Both Ranbir and Anurag were criticized for their recent film ‘Jagga Jasoos’, which was a Box Office failure; well, we should not come to a conclusion with just one movie, Kishore biopic looks great and will work for both the actor and the director.
