Plot - Padmavat is a story of a legendary Queen of Mewar, Rani Padmini, she was the wife of the king Rana Rawal Ratan Singh, the most powerful man in that area back then. But in 1303, Alauddin Khilji the Turkic ruler of the Delhi Sultanate sieged the Chittor fort in Rajputana. He led the invasion because he wanted to capture Rani Padmini.
