Stree Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao Releases in Japan

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 2018 super hit film 'Stree' is all set to weave magic on the screens of Japan. The Bollywood movie is scheduled to release in Japan today i.e., 14 September, 2020. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror comedy movie emerged as a super-hit and a success among fans, gaining worldwide recognition and appreciation. While Stree was referred to as a 'Sleeper Hit' as the movie garnered success slow and steady, the film has continued to win hearts of people till date. Ever since the film went on the floors two years ago on 31 August, the movie has managed to gather not only a huge fan base but an extremely good box office collection raising above 150 crores. The release of the movie in Japan has the cast and crew of Stree extremely happy and excited.

The team of Stree has expressed their happiness by sharing the news of the movie's release in Japan along with mentioning that the movie is all set to conquer Japan. While theatres all across the world had been shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic, the cinema halls in Japan had been opened again in the month of May, 2020 after the country reported a drop in the number of coronavirus cases. Stree features actors Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee in prominent roles and has been set in Chanderi. The movie is loosely based on Karnataka's legend 'Nale Ba' wherein a spirit visits the homes of people and knocks on their doors.  With Stree releasing in Japan today, fans and the makers of the movie have been feeling extremely happy and proud of how the movie has been accepted worldwide.
