'Durgamati': Water Projection Event Organised before Movie’s release

The upcoming horror thriller film titled 'Durgamati' is all set to premiere on the popular OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. Fans will get an opportunity to stream the much-awaited movie from the comfort of their homes from today i.e., 11 December, 2020 onwards. While fans are excited and anticipating the release of the upcoming movie, the team of Durgamati conducted an interesting event related to the upcoming movie. A water projection event was organised by the team of Durgamati at Film City, Mumbai wherein a clip from the movie was displayed for the anticipating audience. A video of the event was also shared by the makers featuring Bhumi Pednekar, who also essays the lead role in the movie. 

In the video Bhumi Pednekar can be seen introducing a clip from the movie which was interestingly projected on water. The actress calls the moment a special one after which a clip from Durgamati featuring Bhumi gets projected. Towards the end of the video, Bhumi reveals the release date of the movie, requesting fans to watch the same at Amazon Prime Video. The water projection event happens to be a unique yet a very beautiful initiative. Featured as a spectacle of the movie Durgamati in an avatar never seen before, the event has raised the anticipation levels among fans who are now unable to control their excitement of watching the new horror movie. 

Durgamati is directed by G. Ashok and jointly produced by Akshay Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra, under their respective banners Cape of Good Films, T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment. The movie features Bhumi Pednekar, Arshad Warsi, Jisshu Sengupta, Mahie Gill in prominent roles. Durgamati happens to be a remake of the 2018 Telugu-Tamil thriller movie 'Bhaagamathie'. Bhumi Pednekar is all set to essay the role of an IAS Officer in the movie.
