Music Composer Shankar Mahadevan Opens On Why He Walked Out Of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’

Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018 and the shooting is going for a while now, it also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the female lead. ‘Dhoom 3’ director Vijay Krishna Acharya will be directing the movie in YRF’s banner; now, obviously this movie has a huge production value and considering the star cast and the storyline, this movie is going to be a Blockbuster. Earlier, the music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy was to compose the music of the movie but they walked out of the film. Shankar Mahadevan recently revealed the reason why they backed out of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. He said that the movie was taking a lot of time and they couldn’t afford to give so much of time to one project. “The schedule of this film was never-ending, first they said that it will be a six-month project, then it became one year and now a year and a half and we can’t afford so much of time”, he said. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is one of the leading music composers in Bollywood right now, they have composed some amazing songs in the movies like ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, Rock On’ and the list goes on and this is a big loss for this huge project but again considering it’s a big project it would not make much difference. The trio was replaced by the duo musicians Ajay and Atul, who has composed music in ‘Singham’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Brothers’, and a number of Marathi films. Shankar also said that it was them who suggested their name. “They have composed some amazing music in the past and definitely they will do justice to ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
