Plot- The story of the movie is about a rustic boy who hails from Bihar Madhav played by Arjun Kapoor and Riya Somani a high class, English speaking Delhi girl played by Shraddha Kapoor. Both Madhav and Riya meet each other at their college and bond upon their favorite sports Basket Ball. While Riya takes the camaraderie as a very good friendship, Madhav falls head over heels for the girl. At one instance the Shraddha understands his feeling for her and tells him that she can’t be his girlfriend but a half girlfriend.  But even after being warned about the outcome of the relationship by his friend Shailesh played by Vikrant Massey, Madhav continues with his loving spree and is taken aback when Riya gets married to her childhood friend and moves out of the country.  The destiny makes the two estranged friends cross paths again and what happens next is for the audience to explore. Review- The movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name falls drastically in the process of being adapted into a movie. The emotions, excitement and visualization of the characters that you experience while reading the book completely go missing while watching it on screen. For the people who have experienced the book, the execution of the same in a movie totally falls flat. Where the first half of the movie goes by like a breeze the second half becomes a tad too slow and dragging. Shraddha looks smart and bubbly in her modern girl avatar and Arjun also does a fair job playing the role of a romantic young boy. Overall a onetime watch, that too at your own risk. Direction – The director Mohit Suri lacked in the execution of the story. The movie already carries a bold subject and he surely falls flat in putting that across the right way. Music – The Music of the movie has a mix of romantic and sad tracks. The song ‘phir bhi tumko chahunga’ by Arijit Singh was well received by the audiences and has a perfect placement in the movie. The rain song ‘Baarish’ is also a soulful rendition and Shreya Ghoshal's melodies voice in ‘Thodi Der’ makes you fall in love with the song. Why To Watch – The movie has no potential as such but you can go for a one time watch, to enjoy, Arjun and Shraddha’s new pairing, the soulful melodies songs and a fallen apart love story.
