There was time when Bubbly, cheerful and naughty Mumtaz used to come on the screens, then audience used to get mad. Everyone was fan of her style . But this actress has now been forgotten. 69 years old Mumtaz these days is living in very far in London. Mumtaz who was born on 31 July, 1947, she always dreamed to be an actress. Mumtaz mother Naaz and her aunty Nilofer both were active in acting world, but she used to only work as junior artist. In the era of 60-70, Mumtaz also started doing small roles. Her destiny was changed when she got chance to work with star like Dara Singh. Actresses of those time used to be save to work with Dara Singh. Mumtaz used it as an advantage and she did back to back 16 films with Dara Singh. 10 films among this were hit a the box office. From here Mumtaz career got started. Then she got the chance to work with superstar Rajesh Khanna and this era was her golden period. After 55 years, Sheesh Mahal will be seen in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Well, Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna together on the screens were known as success guarantee. They both worked in films like, Do Raste, Sacha-Jhoota, Apki Kasam, Apna Desh, Prem kahaani, Dushman, Bandhan and superhit films like Roti. It is said the they both were even close in real life. When Mumtaz got married to Mayur Madhwani, then Rajesh Khanna heart was broken. Rajesh did not wanted Mummtaz to get married. After getting married, she stopped working in the film. In her 15 years of her career, she did 108 film, most of them in this were hit. She tried to play last innings in 1989 with the film 'Andhiyaan', but it was flop at the box office and she has goodbye to Bollywood. Later she suffered from Brest Cancer but she fought like a fighter and is safe now. Two Pakistani Artists to participate in Delhi International Film Festival She was given Best actress of Filmfare Award for the movie 'Khilona' opposite Sanjeev Kumar. In 1996, she was given Filmfare Lifetime achievement awards. Mumtaz Daughter Natasha got married to Fardeen Khan. Today she is a not a remember star. In an interview, given 15 years ago Mumtaz said that she has water all around her and but she is very thirsty and alone, far from Glamour and glitz.
