Plot - Film Chalk n Duster is based on a realtion between student and teacher. Director Jayant will show Shabana Azmi, Juhi Chawla, Upasna Singh in teachers role. On the other side Divya Dutta and Arya Babbar will play negative role in the film. The story of the film revolves around two Vidya (Shabana Azmi) and Jyoti (Juhi Chawla) who are teacher in Mumbai's high school. They have a special relation with their students. Their gratification is good grades, moral values they strive to impart to students. The turning point comes arrived when a new principal comes in the school and want to change all the measurements in the school. Divya Dutta and Arya Babbar is also in support with the new principal. Juhi Chawla is returning on the silver screen after a power packed performance in her last released film 'Gulaab Gang'. On the same hand Shabana Azmi who last scene in as important role in film 'Jazbaa'. Shabana is ready with her another film also called 'Neerja'.
