Weekend Box Office Collection Of Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Ittefaq’

As we know, this week we saw the release of Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Ittefaq’, which is inspired from the 1969 Rajesh Khanna and Nanda’s ‘Ittefaq’. Well, the movie had a very interesting idea for its promotion, it was not promoted in any TV shows but was only promoted in the social media and that really helped the movie. After the grand success of ‘Golmaal Again’, there was a question that which film in November will be a big one as no big films are releasing this month and it turns out to be ‘Ittefaq’, it released in approx. 2500 screens and was not expected to have a decent run, but ‘Ittefaq’ really performed well at the Box Office. On its release day, the movie earned 4.04, which is good, considering it’s a thriller, and after taking a slow start on the first day, the movie went on to earn around 5.50 crores on Saturday, which is a huge number and on Sunday, the movie collected impressive 6.50 crores. Till now, the Box Office collection of the movie is 16.05 crores, which is huge. Considering that it was not promoted in the TV shows, it was expected that it will not get the attention from the mainstream audience. But now, obviously the things are changing in Bollywood and good movies are getting the recognition. The budget of ‘Ittefaq’ is 28 crores and as the things are going right now, the movie will soon collect its budget. The reviews really helped the movie, it got decent to good reviews from the critics and that is an important factor in Bollywood today. Akshaye Khanna was praised for his impeccable performance in the film. Sidharth and Sonakshi were also praised.
