Sam: The upcoming Bollywood thriller and action movie, Sam is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who happens to be the first Indian Army Officer to get promoted as a field marshal. The story revolves around the time when Manekshaw was posted as the Chief of the Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The movie has roped in Vicky Kaushal for the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie is slated to release in the month of July, 2020.
