After Varun Dhawan, Karan Also Apologises For His 'Nepotism Rocks' Chant

Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan’s ‘nepotism rocks’ chant at the IIFA ceremony stirred the social media and the three got negative comments from the fans and followers in large scale. Looking at that Varun Dhawan took on to his social media account to apologise for his actions. And now Karan Johar has also come up with an apology. In an interview to a leading news channel, Karan Johar said that he completely takes the responsibility of the Joke and the action. He said it was entirely his idea. He also said that it was purely a joke at heart we all know that it is not nepotism but talent, hard work and conviction of an individual that rocks. The director and producer added being in the industry he understands that it is the energy that one gets in doing a job that rock. It was just a joke which we think has been taken wrong and misunderstood and he regrets it deeply. For all those who don’t know about the details of what exactly happened, we would like to tell that at the recent IIFA awards ceremony Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan were cracking jokes while hosting the show and in one of the jokes. Saif said to Varun, “you are here because of your father”, to which Varun replied, “you are here because of your mother”, and then Karan said, “I am here because of my father” and all three of them chanted together ‘Nepotism Rocks’. Then they  sang ‘Bole chudiya, bole kangana’, where Karan asked him to stop and commented, ‘Kangana na hi bole to achha hai’.
