Shailendra Singh’s short film ‘Raw Days / Kache Din’ to premiere on YouTube, on May 22

In light of the ongoing current coronavirus crisis all around the world, people have resorted to staying indoors at home. Following the seriousness of the situation a strict lockdown has also been imposed, given which public places including theatres and cinema halls have been shut down. However, in these dark times, the digital streaming services and OTT platforms have been coming to the rescue for people's entertainment. Recently, Shailendra Singh's 2017 short film, Raw Days / Kache Din was given a confirmation regarding the film's premiere on YouTube. The makers of the short film, Raw Days have decided to unveil the film on 22 May, 2020 on YouTube.

The film is based on the hardships and struggles faced by a migrant taxi driver, essayed by renowned theatre and Indian actor, Deepak Dobriyal. The movie also stars actors Yashpal Sharma as a police officer, Ashrut Jain and Teena Singh. The movie that is based on a life filled with struggle has been much awaited by the public. Kache Din has won several accolades at Indian, United States and European festivals. Among the numerous awards, the film has also garnered awards for being the 'Best Foreign Short Film' and 'Best Director' at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival. The short film is based on Mumbai and many people would be able to relate with the story, following which an excited Shailendra Singh has decided to give his film a premiere as the movie would also serve to people’s entertainment and motivation.
