Saif Ali Khan Said That It’s Enough For A Star To Make Films, They Have To Successful Too

Saif Ali Khan is one of the actors who has maintained his stardom since the 90s, just like SRK, Salman, Aamir, Akshay and Ajay, now his name is at the bottom but still maintain that kind of stardom is a big deal. But right now, he is struggling to give a hit, there was a big expectation from his last film ‘Chef’, but despite having good reviews, the movie didn’t work at the Box Office, he has not given a single hit since 2013 movie ‘Race 2’. After that he appeared in movies like ‘Bullet Raja’, ‘Happy Ending’, ‘Hamshakals’, ‘Phantom’ and many more but nothing worked, his next films ‘Baazaar’ and ‘Kaalakaandi’ carries a big burden of his career; now, as we know Saif Ali Khan is a kind of actor who doesn’t care about hit or flop, but recently in an interview he made a statement that it’s not enough for a star to make films, they have to be successful too. “It’s important for a movie star to be successful, you just can’t make films for the sake of making films, and you need to worry about the outcomes too. Someone is putting their money in the movie, and they expect a certain kind of a return from that star. You can have a few flops, here or there, but it cannot be the general state of things”, he said. Despite having good content driven movies in past few years, Saif Ali Khan admits that the Industry is still a star-driven Industry. But he also said that no star is bigger than the movie. “You see some of the small budget films today, you’ll realize how smart the makers of that movies are, you need to have a balance between stars and content, it’s very important”, the actor said.
