Wajid Khan of Musician Duo Sajid-Wajid Fame Dies At 42, COVID-19 Suspected

Wajid Khan of famous Sajid-Wajid composer duo has passed away due to a suspected heart attack and the deadly COVID-19. Wajid was also suffering from a critical kidney infection. The musician was 42. Wajid was fighting for his life in Mumbai's Surana Hospital where he was under medical supervision, on the ventilator for the last few days. The renowned composer had been facing several issues since long and had also undergone a kidney transplant a few months back as reported by another famous composer, Salim Merchant. The news of the sad demise has left the Bollywood industry shaken and disturbed. The unfortunate information was broken to the world by noted singer Sonu Nigam who wrote: "My brother Wajid left us".

The untimely demise of the musician has left a void in the music industry. Many actors and even politicians took to social media to express their grief and sadness on Wajid's death. The proclaimed musician has received tremendous popularity and tribute by renowned actors and politicians. Speak of composers and Sajid-Wajid would be the first ones to come on mind. The duo has been popularly acclaimed and loved by one and all. The sons of famous Tabla player, Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan, the composer duo started their music career for Salman Khan's 1998 movie Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya. The duo has never looked back since then and scored music for a number of noted films like Chori Chori, Jaane Hoga Kya, Partner, Hello, Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger. The duo has also hosted a number of reality shows and has prepared title songs for shows like Bigg Boss as well.
