Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar to begin a new show on a rival channel to battle with Kapil Sharma

Just yesterday it was reported how Sony Entertainment Television is thinking on drawing the plug on The Kapil Sharma Show. The show was up for a comeback in April but SET possesses second thoughts due to ongoing matter between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover and his consequent unofficial exit. Now according to an article by DNA, Colors is wooing Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar for a show to compete against The Kapil Sharma Show. We all know Kapil and Colors had an ugly dispute last year after which he moved to Sony. On the other hand, after Kapil Sharma’s several public justifications, Sunil Grover denies budging in and is pretty sure on not returning to the show, same goes for Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar. A reference said 'This humiliates Kapil. Sunil made sure that he doesn’t fall into Kapil’s appeals because he feels they are really fake. Also, Sony was planning to rebuild their contract and pay Kapil as much as Rs 107 crore for the program. But now that too looks unlikely.' Another source from the channel told DNA that 'Kapil and Colors don’t go along and their public engagement was not just unpleasant but for everyone to see. Colors haven't excused Kapil yet and the reasons remained the identical – his usual tantrums and attitude. Today, the same behavioral habits have cost him a few friends and soon, he will arrive up with no trade if this proceeds. Colors have intended to start a comedy show of its own with Sunil Grover and they are also in discussions with Ali Asgar, who along with Sunil has boycotted The Kapil Sharma Show.' Well if this really happens then it’s gonna get Kapil and Sunil’s tiff to a different level. All we can do right now is just remain and watch. The show begins off with Kapil Sharma celebrating Navjot Singh Sidhu’s win at the recently held Punjab elections. I am convinced by now you all are informed of Sunil Grover, Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar’s lack from the show. So, in order to make up for that Kapil Sharma had to bring his triumphant character of Mr. Arora, but all in vain. Kapil along with Kiku tried too tough to be funny but jokes fell dull. It seemed like they were under-rehearsed. Kiku’s character Bumper gave a cheeky dialogue when he said, referring to Kapil Sharma, 'Aaj kal inke baare jo bhi kuch bolo chap jaata hai'. Kapil Sharma then asked the guest celebs in the lead characters of movie 'Naam Shabana', Taapsee Pannu, and Manoj Bajpai. It was then when the program gained momentum. Kapil Sharma is a funny man but he is not a one-man show it was disheartening to see Kapil depending on average performers in Sumona and Rochelle. It was the stories shared by Manoj Bajpai about Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui that got the maximum laughter. One thing that stood out was offering Sumona his chair again and again, which was even surprising for Sumona. Is it Kapil’s way of determining care for his co-stars, as he has been accused of the otherwise? Kiku’s Bumper is very irritating, I have to say, he should reach up with some other character. More than the characters of the show, it was the combination of Manoj Bajpai, Taapsee Pannu and few of the members of the audience who did the show funny. The highlight of the show was Kapil’s sort of dig at Sunil Grover’s loss when Sumona said, after being insulted by him, 'that’s the cause I don’t wanna come'. And Kapil was quick to joke, 'Your father (referring to Dr. Mashoor Gulati) isn’t there, that’s why you were invited". He then further continued, 'because he is performing in a show in Pune, he’ll be back'.
