Nushrat Bharucha To Essay Lead Role In Upcoming Horror Film ‘Chhori’

Nushrat Bharucha has tied her laces for a new upcoming horror project. For the first time, the actress has decided to work in a horror movie titled 'Chhori', wherein Bharucha will be seen essaying the lead role. The upcoming film, 'Chhori' which is described as 'A Psych Production', happens to be a Hindi remake of the 2017 hit Marathi horror movie, Lapachhapi. Lapachhapi turned out to be a hit among people, garnering widespread praise and attention. Chhori is directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and international producer Crypt TV's Jack Davis in collaboration. Nushrat herself shared the information regarding her film by describing it as "shockingly scary" besides many others, one being film critic Taran Adarsh.

The original film revolved around the age-old beliefs and terrifying practices followed by societies in earlier times. 'Chhori' might also be developed with the same storyline as the plot is being written by Vishal Kapoor, the man behind Lapachhapi's story as well. Nushrat who plays the lead in the upcoming movie happens to be quite thrilled and excited as she was reportedly quoted saying that she has always wanted to work with Vishal Furia and is thrilled as she has got a chance to work in a movie being produced by the best producers. The actress also expressed her excitement in being a part of the horror genre as she believes that the story regarding the beliefs and practices in the society would make the story relatable and impactful. The news of ‘Chhori’ has raised the anticipation among fans who now await the film’s release.
