Dangal 2nd Day Box Office Collection 34.82 Cr. - Dangal is a sports drama that tries it's best to explain the problems of being a women in sport especially wrestling. The true story revolves around wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who's dream was to win a medal for India,  but he fails. He wants a son to fulfill his dreams, but he never gets a son, so he is understandably devastated. But one day he see his daughters Geeta and Babitha beating up a neighbors boy, he realizes their potential and begins training them in spite of his village folks mocking him. The rest is history,  Geeta went on to win the 2010 freestyle Olympic gold medal and Babita Kumari has won medals in both commonwealth and world wrestling championships. Dangal went on to make close to 30 crores (29.78) on it's first day box office collection, and it has been reported that there was 75% occupancy in the seats. It had failed to beat his previous best first day box office figure Doom 3, which make a whooping 32 crores,  and it also didn't beat this years movie release Sultan which still stand as the movie with highest opening day collection (36.54 crores). Dangal Box office Collection The second day box office collection is estimated to be 34.82 crores just in India alone. In spite of the cash crutch in the movie Dangal is doing very well on second day too (Saturday), with good word of mouth reviews the collection has started picking up, the overseas collection has nearly doubled on the second day. The second day box office collection of Dangal is 10 crores* in the overseas market (USA,  UK,  Middle East,  Australia). That brings the total second day collection to 43 crores*. Total box office collection of Dangal is expected to cross 78-80 crores with 64.60 crores in India alone and nearly 38 crores in the overseas market. Dangal Movie Review The movie made with a budget of 75 crores had already gained that amount from distributors alone,  the movie is expected to do really well since it has been receiving very good reviews from every corner.
