Veteran Bollywood Actor Rishi Kapoor Passes Away At Age 67 In Mumbai, Battling Cancer

Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has passed away at age 67 after battling deadly cancer for two long years. The legendary actor had a sad demise early morning today i.e., 30 April. Rishi Kapoor breathed his last, lost his life at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. The news of his unfortunate death was broken to the world by his brother and actor Randhir Kapoor. The actor was only admitted yesterday i.e., on 29 April, following the critical health condition Rishi Kapoor was suffering from. Randhir Kapoor had confirmed the hospitalization of his brother in Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital early yesterday, as he was reported telling that the veteran actor was in a critical situation, following which he was shifted to the hospital in an emergency. However, until yesterday, Randhir had his hopes high of his brother's well-being. Rishi Kapoor's wife and actor, Neetu Kapoor was beside her husband in the bleak time. Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer two years back in 2018 for which he had been in New York for a year to receive treatment. Even though the actor had come back to the country in September, last year, his health continued to deteriorate following which he had to be admitted to the hospital quite frequently. The regretful news comes one day after the nation lost the very talented actor, Irrfan Khan. In a span of just two days, the entire nation and the Bollywood industry has lost two of the finest actors in the Bollywood industry.

The sorrowful event has left behind the entire Bollywood industry mourning for their original chocolate boy. With a glittering career of around 50 years, the versatile actor Rishi Kapoor has left us all weeping and mourning over his untimely and unfortunate demise. Rishi Kapoor is survived by his wife and actor, Neetu Kapoor and two children, son and actor Ranbir Kapoor and daughter and designer, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani. Rishi Kapoor was the son of late actor Raj Kapoor and brothers to actor Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor had started his career as a child artist in his father's film, Mera Naam Joker, 50 years back, in 1970. The actor never looked back since and delivered back to back hit movies like Bobby, Laila Majnu, Amar Akbar Anthony, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Sargam, Karz, Yeh Vaada Raha, Saagar, Chandni, Hum Tum, Love Aaj Kal, Agneepath, Kapoor & Sons and several other movies. With a lead role in 92 films and other roles in many other movies, the actor has won numerous accolades throughout his career in the Bollywood industry.

"I am the only one of a kind!", Rishi Kapoor had quoted once. The veteran, legendary actor kept battling the deadly cancer and never lost hope. It is unfortunate and regretful that this day, today, has brought to us the loss of one of the finest actor in the industry. Indeed, we lost a star today.
