My Body Went Through A Major Transformation In The Last Two Years Says Bhumi Pednekar

Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who made a huge impact with her performance in her two movies this year ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savadhan’ said that her body went through a major transformation in the last two years. As we know, she started her career in 2015 with the movie ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha;, where she portrayed the role of a woman of 92kgs and to play that character she had to put on a lot of weight and after it was done she again went back to normal of 52kgs, now that’s hard work. In a recent interview, Bhumi Pednekar said that as a girl she didn’t know the kind of changes her body will go through, she also said that she gained 27kgs to play ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and then lost all of that. “I lost my weight in a right way, if you think you will lose 30kgs in one month, it doesn’t work like that, I have done the natural way and maybe that’s why people compliment me”. Well, the credit should go to her; she really worked hard to get in the shape back. Talking about today’s cinema in Bollywood she said the audience is smart and they acting more just than glamour and if you get acting and glamour both, it’s good. She feels that industry is changing now and viewers want to see well-written story and well-written characters. She also compared it with the Hollywood by saying that they have a well-written story and character; she also said that the actors in the west transform themselves into the characters they play. Bhumi is rumoured to play an important role in Sushant Singh Rajput and R Madhavan starrer sci-fi movie ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ but it’s not official as of lately.
