After the announcement that Rajkummar Rao Starrer ‘Newton’ is India’s official entry for the Oscars this year, the movie has got a lot of attention from the mainstream audience and the Box Office collection of this movie is the result of that, the movie opened with 90 lakhs on Friday and on Saturday the number becomes approx.. 2.5 crores, now that’s huge. But with the mainstream attention, there also came a lot of criticism for the movie, A lot of people are saying that ‘Newton’ is the copy of 2001 Iranian Film ‘Secret Ballot’, which has the same plot and yes it is inspired by that film but not entirely copied.
