Amol Palekar Selected as the Indian Oscar jury Head

Popular actor Amol Palekar has been selected as the head of Indian jury in Oscar that will be selecting the movies in the 88th award ceremony. Golmaal star, 70 year old Amol will be heading the team of 17 jury members. His film "Paheli" in the year 2005 was selected for the academic awards. The head of Mumbai based Film Federation of India (FFI) told that they have selected Amol as the jury head representing India in the Oscar. Palekar said that the selection of movies for the Oscar 2016 is going to start soon. He said that he is happy for being selected as the jury head. He said that on prime criteria have been decided for the selection of the movies. He added that he will first talk to the other members and will then draw a conclusion. Away from the silver screen for quite a long time this actor in 1970s gave several hit movies like "Rajnigandha", Ek Choti Si Baat", "Golmaal" and "Gharaonda". He was known for his roles in the movie. The 88th award ceremony will be held in 2016 in Los Angeles.
