Now Women are not just a showpiece in Bollywood : Madhuri Dixit

Actress and dancer Madhuri Dixit have seen everything in her 3 decades career. She says that I'm happy seeing women characters getting more strong on big screens. Earlier in Bollywood, more focus was drawn towards actors and actress used to play just as Co-star, but Madhuri has welcome the change in Bollywood towards actresses. Madhuri told that in today's time women characters are also given importance, Neerja is on example, in which she played as Air Hostess and died while saving passengers life. Alia Bhatt also in Udta Punjab, actress said, Udta Punjab was not women centric film, but women character in the film was important and strong. Now they are not just for beauty. Madhuri stepped in Bollywood with the film 'Aboodh', after that she did many hit films like Tezaab, Ram lakhan, Dil, Beta, Hum Apke hai Kon, Anjaan, Pukaar, Dil Tho Pagal Hai, Devdas. After getting married to Doctor Shri Ram Nene, her filmy career started getting down, but doing less film was her personal choice, because she had to take care of her sons. Actress said, Taking care of my sons and spending time with them is my personal decision, I did not do this because people were expecting me to do this, every mother does this.' Madhuri said, 'Now actors wants to do one film in a year, seeing old times then I have done 12 films in a year, but that time way of working was different.' Actress said that in today's time you can take time to read screen play and can select character with your choice and Madhuri loves this way. In 2007, actress came back with the film 'Aaja Nachle' and she has made her identity as an actress and well as great dancer. These days she is judging dance reality show 'So You Think You Can Dance'. She says that with such reality shows, it helps people to choose dancing as their career.
