Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan made their Bollywood debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's Student of the Year and ever since then, the two have continued to woo the audience with their chemistry - both onscreen and off-screen. They next shared screen space in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and wowed the viewers. Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the second film in the franchise, promises to be equally entertaining as the first one. Starring Varun as Badrinath Bansal and Alia as Vaidehi Trivedi. Story- This story is of Badrinath (Varun Dhawan) who lives in Jhansi with his family. Badri`s elder brother`s marriage was fixed without his constant but Badrinath wants to get married to a girl according to his own choices. Meanwhile, he goes to Kota to attend a friend`s wedding and there he sees Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt) and instantly love strikes him. Badrinath tries to convince Vaidehi for their relationship and marriage but Vaidehi is a girl with some career goals in her life. Badrinath is looking for a typical bride; Vaidehi is looking for an independent life. Together they must break with tradition and redefine their role in the society. So let`s find out does Badrinath succeeds in his efforts to convince Vaidehi or he looses his Dulhania! Watch the movie and find out the results yourself. Direction- The direction of Shashank Khaitan is very good. He memorizes small city details and presents it with such a dedication and carefulness. Though the story is nothing new it’s just old wine in a new bottle but the director impresses us with his super work. With the story and film, the director tries his best to raise some good social issues such as girl education and gender equality and he is quite successful in his attempt also. But the film is a little bit on a slower side it could have been made a bit faster. Acting- Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt`s) character is the backbone of this story. She acted very well and Varun Dhawan too proved himself as a better actor every time. Varun Dhawan as Badri does a fairly good job. His comic timing is spot on and I would say he has that fine balance of coming across as notorious yet cute. He is slightly weaker in the emotional scenes and his Jhansi dialect fumbles in a few places. Alia Bhatt lights up the screen with her beauty. She is luminous in all frames and does a good job as the fiery Vaidehi. Her chemistry with Varun is adorable too. Sahil Vaid as Somdev, Badri’s bestie does a great job. He takes the comedy to another level. Music- Music of the movie is good and `Tamma Tamma` is already a chartbuster. Rest songs are also good but we found some of them were very sloppy and long. This surely affected the overall run time of the movie but overall the music is good. See it or not? - Overall the film works as a flavorsome romance with a pair which grows into each other, and with each other. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt is the best thing that could have happened to our screens. The beautiful effortlessness of their onscreen companionship plasters a grin on your face. Dhawan as Badri is adorable; you instantly take to him. He even pulls off some high-drama scenes impressively. Bhatt, unsurprisingly, gives it her all, and her sincerity comes through. If you are a fan of Varun and Alia this is surely for you and for the movie lovers – Guys you can watch this! Watch the trailer of Badrinath Ki Dulhania here https://youtu.be/ztX-iGlZ_Ug
