Baar Baar Dekho is a debut film of Nitya Mehra. Before this, she has worked as assistant director in films like ' Life Of A Pie' and 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'. Will this be an amazing debut for Nitya. Come lets review it :
Story : This story is of a Maths Professor Jai Varma (
Sidharth Malhotra) who lives in Delhi, who is in relationship with her childhood film Diya kapoor (
Katrina kaif) and both were about to get married, that time only he gets offer from Cambridge University and Diya's father (Ram kapoor) don't want him to go. Jai hates marriages, from here story of the movie moves further and Jai gets chance to go in future, there he gets to know real importance of the relationship. After meeting Diya in future, then Jai gets to see new Viewpoint to live the life. Many twist and turn come, Jai lives present, past and future and this film gets a result, which you can only see after seeing the film.
Script : Script of the film is tried to show in a new way, first half looks interesting, but it starts getting dragged after interval. Some dialogues written by Anvita Dutt are amazing, but there is nothing apart from songs and location in the film that will attract you to the theaters. But Cinematography of Ravi K. Chandran is amazing.
Acting : Sidharth Malhotra has done good work by playing characters of different age. Katrina Kaif in the film also adds a new flavour to the film. Ram Kapoor character is too much loud. Other actors work is amazing.
Weakness : Weakness of the film is it's story. The Concept of Past, Present and Future is good, but the screenplay is very weak, after the second half, the film makes you bore.
Music : Leaving Kala Chasma, other songs are average.
Why to Watch : If you are a fan of Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina then do watch this film.
