Plot: The story set in the time of Emergency and is about a robbery of Gold from a moving truck which is a plan of Princess Geetanjali Devi who is the heir of an already faded kingdom. For the robbery, she needs some skilled criminals to accomplish the task and then the team is formed that has Bhawani (Ajay Devgn), Dalia (Emraan Hashmi) and Tikla (Sanjay Mishra). But, putting a team together isn’t enough as the plan is likely to backfire because it’s known to some people who can go to any extent to stop them from succeeding.

Review:Baadshaho’ had a lot of expectation riding, post the release of the trailer, but the movie terribly fails to make it to the mark.  The movie is set in 1975, and the makers have left no stone unturned to make it realistic with little details. But where ‘Baadshaho’ majorly lacks is that it appears old-fashioned in its approach with actors mouthing heavy dialogues, lot of action, which not much required.

The movie starts two years before the infamous emergency and shows a politician who goes by the name of Sanjeev, of course, a fictional character inspired by the character of Sanjay Gandhi (Priyanshu Chatterjee) who has a face-off of sorts with Rani Geetanjali. This leads him to seize her gold during the Emergency and arrests her.

Geetanjali then takes the help of her bodyguard cum lover of the past, Bhawani Singh. Bhawani gives her his word and gathers a band of misfits to steal the gold from tough army man, Seher Singh.

The first half of the movie is all about planning and plotting about the great robbery. The plot tends to slow down at various places but Emraan Hashmi’s character takes you through those moments and keeps you engrossed to the movie. The twist at the interval point takes you to the edge of your seat. From the direction perspective expectation from ‘Baadshaho’ was greater as the three members of the team, Milan, Ajay and Emraan were seen together in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ and it was much appreciated. But the sad part is that, even though the direction and acting is good, the lack of good script made the movie not so happening.

Why To Watch: The movie is a one-time watch, and the performances of the lead stars are good. Emraan Hashmi and Sanjay Mishra give enough laughter moments to make it worthwhile.
