Konkona Sen bagged the best actress award for "Kadambari"

In Washington DC, South Asian Film Festival, Bengali movie "Kadambari" got the award for best film, while actress Konkona Sen Sharma bagged the best actress award. For this Konkana was selected as the best actress, on the other side the director Chaitanya Tamhane of movie "Court" that has been nominated for Oscars bagged the award for best director. Konkana shared this news with her fans on Twitter. She wrote that she is really happy to receive the best actress award at the Washington DC, South Asian Film Festival. Kadambari has been given award in the genre of best movie while the director of "Court" received the award for best director. In the movie "Kadambari" directed by Suman Ghosh, Parambrata Chatterjee has also played a role. This movie is based on the controversial relationship of Rabindranath Tagore and his sister-in-law Kadambari Devi. This three day festival  (25-27 September) was completed with the movie “RoughBook”, directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.
