Karni Sena Threatens To Burn The Theatres Of ‘Padmavati’ Screening In The UK

The ‘Padmavati’ controversy is just getting bigger and bigger day by bay, first the Karni Sena threatens to burn the theatre of ‘Padmavati’, then the issue got politicalized media came on the play and it all got messy, it became so huge that the makers of the movie had to postpone the release date of the movie, which was earlier supposed to release on 1st December in India will now not be releasing this year, now the official Indian release date of this movie has not been announced. However, the film has got the clearance by the British Censor Board, it has got the 12A certificate and will be releasing on 1st December in the UK in both 2D and 3D; well, and this is certainly a good thing for this movie, as it has been struggling to get a release date in India. Well, the Karni Sena couldn’t see that also and again they are making threats. Sukhdev Singh, the leader of that group quoted, “Every theatre will burn where ‘Padmavati’ will run”, he also stated that he wanted to go in the UK to protest against the movie but the Indian government has confiscated his passport. “I will ask the Rajput community there to protest against the movie”, he said. Well, they don’t understand that they are promoting this film, because sooner or later this movie will release and all of their protest and threats will work in the favour of the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself made it clear that there is no dream sequence between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji in the movie but still it is a big issue. They even threatened Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone to behead.
