Kabir Khan Planning To Announce A Movie Based On 1983 World Cup

Mostly when we think of Indian cricket the first thing that comes to our mind is Kapil Dev and his team lifting the World Cup in the year 1983 at Lords Stadium. We are sure most of the Cricket fans will relate to this, and now what if we tell you, that soon you will be able to see the iconic moment on the big screen? The recent reports have come that suggest that Kabir Khan is planning to recreate the moment and tell it in the form of a movie. The source who revealed this to the leading tabloid also said that most likely the movie will be announced on September 27, and on the occasion of the announcement will be graced by the Indian players who brought the cup home. There have been reports that many actors like Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan have been approached for the role in the movie, however, now actor Arjun Kapoor has emerged as one of the top contenders to play the role of Kapil Dev. The movie will be reportedly titled ‘World Cup 1983’ and will be produced by Phantom Films and Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is the founder and managing director of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). And the movie will be scripted by National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan. Now let us wait and watch if the news turns out to be true or not.
