'Hindi Medium' And 'Half Girlfriend' Weekend Box Office Collections

The last weekend witnessed two big releases of Bollywood; one was ‘Hindi Medium’ that starred Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’. Where ‘Half Girlfriend’ got a good opening on the day one considering its young star cast and story being based on Chetan Bhagat’s famous novel, ‘Hindi Medium’ got a lukewarm response, which is usually the fate of message oriented movies. But such movies if contain a good message and storyline often pick up by the word of mouth. And so happened in the ‘Hindi Medium’s case as well, the movie released on 1100 screen all across the country collected Rs. 2.81 crore on its opening day and over the weekend it collected Rs. 12.56 crore. The Monday also went well for the movie and now the four days screening’s total earning stand to be Rs. 12.56 Crore. Hindi Medium’ Box Office Collection ‘Half Girlfriend’ on other hand released on 2500 screens also had a good weekend, where it earned Rs. 10.27 crore on an opening day, Sat Rs. 10.63 crore, Sun Rs. 11.14 crore and Rs. 32.04 crore. ‘Half Girlfriend’ Box Office Collection Where ‘Hindi Medium’ has witnessed a strong growth post its dull opening, ‘Half Girlfriend’ is doing fair considering it being screened on a huge number of screens across the country.
