For Nag Ashwin's next, Tollywood star Prabhas has been paired opposite Bollywood's renowned Deepika Padukone. Nag Ashwin's upcoming pan-Indian science-fiction project is all set to bring together India's biggest superstars. While Deepika Padukone and Prabhas will appear together for the first time in Prabhas 21, fans have been unable to contain their excitement regarding the upcoming project. The makers of the upcoming movie have made the big announcement through a very special video dedicated to the actress who is all set to make her Telugu debut opposite Prabhas.

The special video began with an ode to the extraordinary and talented actresses of the Indian film industry. Sridevi, Pooja Hegde, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Meena, Jayaprada, Preity Zinta, Trisha, Neha Sharma, Aarthi Agarwal happen to be the names of the many extraordinary actresses that have been mentioned in the video. Now with pride, we welcome Deepika Padukone with Prabhas onto our 50-year journey. Bringing together India's biggest superstars".

The upcoming Prabhas 21 much-awaited project is all set to release in the following year, 2020. The project has been reportedly referred to as "an epic project". On the official Twitter account of Vyjayanthi Movies, the production banner of the upcoming film, it was written: "As promised, here it is - our next big announcement! WELCOMING THE SUPERSTAR". An excited Deepika Padukone also took to her official Twitter account to write: "Beyond Thrilled! Cannot wait for what we believe is going to be an incredible journey ahead... #DeepikaPrabhas". Nag Ashwin, the director reportedly said that he is very excited about Deepika portraying the character in the movie. He also mentioned that her role would be a surprise for people as no other lead has performed the role. However, Nag Ashwin also mentioned that the pairing of Prabhas and Deepika would evolve as the most important highlight of the film. Giving a little information, the director said that the story between the duo in the film would be quite impressive, one that the audience would always remember and 'carry in their hearts'.
