‘Dangal’ Creates History By Entering 2000 Crore Club

Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has become the biggest Blockbuster of Bollywood. Since, its release in China, the movie is on a success spree, and on Monday, the Aamir Khan's social drama has created a new benchmark of the 2000 crore club and has become the most successful movie of Indian Cinema. The Forbes report says, “‘Dangal’ stands alone as one of the biggest films in Chinese box office history. The closest contender to that record is ‘Zootopia’ and just like ‘Dangal’, ‘Zootopia’ was also distributed by Disney.” It is interesting that ‘Dangal’ has surpassed the big Hollywood films like 'Captain America: Civil War','xXx: Return Of Xander Cage', 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon', 'The Jungle Book' and 'Kung Fu Panda 3'. The movie now stands in the 16^th spot as the highest grosser in China. It is truly a film which will be remembered forever. Now ‘Dangal’ is setting its eye for the highest grossing movie in China, which will be a little difficult to do though, but it is for sure that it will be in top 10 or top 5 highest grossers. The movie has set a bar which is very difficult to surpass, though ‘Baahubali; The Conclusion’ is not too far from ‘Dangal’ and will release in China soon. But considering the collections of only 7 crores from ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which was released in 2015 in China, the movie 'Baahubali 2's future in the country doesn't appear that bright. Recently, we came to know that Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ is also scheduled for a release in China in December. It won the Best Action Film Award at Shanghai Film Festival.
