Brothers Released - 2nd Week Drishyam Box Office Collection 19.55 Crore

This Friday Karan Johar directed movie "Brothers" has been released. The film is based on Hollywood blockbuster "Warriors" and is a Hindi remake of it. It took 85 crores to make the movie. For the screening rights of Television the producers had to pay a total of 42 crores. The rights have been sold to Fox Star Studio for India and outside screening for 55 crores. But adding all this the producers are still in benefit with the movie. Considering the sale right and other screening costs in India and well as abroad, the total amount comes out to be 75 crores. With a big banner (Dharma Productions), big star caste (Akshay Kuamr, Sidharth Malhotra) and Saturday being a holiday, all these factors have put the movie on safer side in terms of collection. Last week the release of "Bangistan" disappointed everyone. The first day collection of the movie was just 1 crore and weekely collection was 4 crore. In the banner of Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment this is a big failure. With great public score card "Drishyam" earned 19.55 crores in the second week and had a great business. With the lower pace of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Bahubali", Drishyam was being appreciated by the people and got a good collection in the third week as well.
