Box Office: 'Sarkar 3' & 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' Weekend Collection Report

‘Sarkar3’ and ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ released last Friday after two weeks of ‘Baahubali 2’ supremacy at theaters. People were all eyes to witness the fresh release and to know which one of them outshined the other. But to everyone’s surprise, both the movies got a sad response from the audiences while the ‘Baahubali 2’ continued with its reigning spree. ‘Sarkar 3’ sequel to the previous Sarkar series is a political drama lead by none other than the legendary star Amitabh Bachchan. The movie directed by Raj Gopal Varma was expected to get a grand opening considering the presence of Mr. Bachchan in his angry avatar. And the movie did get a moderate opening on Friday but over the weekend it couldn’t do anything great in terms of box office collections. AS per the reports, the movie released on 1500 screens in India has managed to earn only 6.75 crores over the weekend. On the other hand the romantic comedy and a slice of life kind of a film, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ could also not earn the much-needed attention. Though the movie was able to pull more crowd to cinema halls as compared to ‘Sarkar 3’ but in terms of collections, it too doomed at the box office. The movie collected 9.03 crores over the weekend from 750 screens in all over India. In the contrary, 'Baahubali 2' is still running strong at the theaters and have been pulling the crowd. Though the speculations are that the reason for the downfall of new releases is ‘Baahbali 2’, but we feel, if the story of any of the two would have been interesting and impactful they wouldn’t have doomed at the Box Office.
