Akshay Kumar's 'Airlift' sold in 33 crores

Akshay Kumar starrer 'Airlift' which is based on a mission to bring home NRI from during Kuwait war is going to release on 22nd January. Prateik Builders has sold the distribution of the film in India in 33 crores. Akshay Kumar who invested 70 percent in the film securly covered 17 crores. This contract also can happen with Viacom 18, Kumar Mangat and STV film company, which are in talks from a month. Akshay Kumar wanted to sell distribution rights in 36 crores but they three only agreed in 31 crores. The talks are in the process then Ekta Kapoor announced adult comedy film 'Kya Kool Hai Hum 3' is releasing on 22nd January. In this they three are agreed on 27 crores so, Akshay sold the rights in 33 crores. The television rights of the film were sold in 18 crores, music rights in 4 crores and internationally distribution rights were sold in 7 crores which made total to 63 crores. In this if we remove budget and promotion money 38 crores then it becomes 24 crores. Akshay's 70 percent share became to 17 crores and remaining amount reached to Bhusan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra. Akshay made himself very secure through sold the film but if the film earns 66 crores in India then the distributors will get 33 crores. The bad thing about Akshay is that his films are not earning 100 crores, only 'Holiday' did 108 crores business in India other than 'Baby' 75 crores, 'Gabbar is Back' 80 crores, and 'Singh is Bling' 71 crores. 'Baby' producer Bhusan got lose then Akshay collaborate with T-series again for 'Airlift' and didn't took fees for it and made a formula to earn 70 percent after removing budget.
