Aiyaary Day Wise Box Office Collection Budget Hit or Flop

Aiyaary Collection Stands 3.36 Cr on Day 1 at Box Office. According to the box office collection reports, Aiyaary earned Rs 3.36 crore on day 1. The movie, released on February 16th, received mix response from the audience on the opening day. People are prone to give the verdict of any movie as hit or flop based on the first-day box office collection. The history till date proves that this is not always true. Some films do drive a huge number of audience to the theatres on the first day, mainly depending on the number of promotions done, but fails to become hits. On the other end, there are films which collect smaller amounts on the opening day but becomes hits as a result of ‘word of mouth’ publicity campaigns. Films with a small budget always get fewer screens. This also affects the opening box office collections. The movie was filmed at a landing cost of Rs 65 crores which includes production cost (Rs 50 crores) and promotion costs (Rs 15 crores). Aiyaary was sidelined by the Pad Man which also got released on the same day. When asked about the clash between the two films; superstar Akshay Kumar denied the chances of a clash citing the excess number of theatres in the country. The Pad Man got released on around 3000 screens across the country while Aiyaary got 1800 screens. This limited number of screens has also affected the first-day collection at the box office. Despite this, the reports are showing that the film is getting a good response. We need a couple of days more before we judge the film to be hit or flop. Written and directed by Neeraj Pandey, the crime drama features Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Anupam Kher and Pooja Chopra in major roles. Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Gada and Motion Picture Capital jointly produce the film.
