"Mary Kom" director Omung Kumar has said that the movie made on Sarabjit will be nominated next year for the Cannes Film Festival. Being Jailed in Pakistan, Sarabjit was been attacked by the other prisoners living with him.
Omung said it was really shocking for him to receive the International award and he added that he has always though about Oscars. Now lets see what happens. They are planning to release it in Cannes on 20 May.
The biopic of Sarabjit is being made in regard to the viewpoint of his sister Dalbir Kaur, in which it will showcase her struggle to free her brother. The role of Dalbir will be played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda will be playing the role of Sarabjit.
Sarabjit was an Indian citizen, who was being declared as a spy and terrorist in the courts of Pakistan in the year 1991. He was declared death sentence. Although in the year 2008 his death sentence was being put on a halt. Dalbir fought for the freedom of her brother and all her fight came to a sad end when Sarabjit was attacked by other prisoners living with him. He was dead in this incident.
The movies by Omung are very inspirational. He has a wish that like his other movies, the biopic of Sarabjit also get a lot of appreciation as like that of Mary Kom. This film released in the year 2014 has received the award of best film at many International festivals.
Recently Aish's movie "Jazbaa" has been released. With this she had made a comeback in Bollywood after 5 years. Now she is continuously seen signing more and more movies. Now in the first week of December she will start shooting for the movie on Sarabjit in Punjab.
