Actress Vidya Balan supports FTII students
Padma Shri award winner actress Vidya Balan has now steped out in the support of students of FTII (Film and Television Institute of India). On Thursday the actress along with writer Anjum Rajabali visited the FTII institute in Pune. She here signed that letter in which the involvement of President Pranab Mukherjee was appealed.
Let us tell you that Vidya Balan and Rajabali are linked to the FTII. Rajabali is the senior script writer there. Along with them 190 more producers and directors signed the letter.
In letter it has been said that Gajendra Chauhan has been chosen for the position arbitrarily. On this position film makers like Shri Mrinal Sen, Dr. U.R. Ananthamurthy, Shyam Benegal, Girish Karnad and Adoor Gopalakrishnan have been there. It seems that the decision was taken in a rush and without any intelligence.
There has been protest for so many days in regard to Gajendra Chauhan been chosen for the position of Chairman of the Governing Council. Due to this there has been great loss in terms of studies of the students.
