Actress Parvathy Says That She Doesn’t Like Remakes In Bollywood

Parvathy, who made her Bollywood debut with Irrfan Khan’s ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ has a very strong opinion on movies made in Bollywood. Parvathy is a known face in Tamil and Malayalam Film Industry, and with her Bollywood debut, she got appreciation from everywhere for her performance in the movie. In a recent interview, Parvathy said that she knows the fact that many regional films are being remade in Bollywood and she doesn’t like it. She also said that he doesn’t like that kind of cinema. “I am not a very big fan of remakes; I like it when a director puts his own vision to make a story. To make a film, which has already been made is a crass and that I have seen a lot in Hindi cinema”, she said. She also mentioned that in Bollywood, the makers add more drama, more comedy, and more everything to make it click with the audience. “I think the audience is smart, they know what they want to see and what they don’t want to see. Talking about myself, I don’t like playing the exact same character, which I’ve played before or someone else has played before”, she said. She also stated that she like originality in a film and likes to do those films. Talking about the difference between Bollywood and South Indian Film Industry, she said that there’s one major difference that Bollywood has the schedule of 8 hours a day but South Indian Industry doesn’t have that and Bollywood films have a bigger budget. Parvathy certainly made a huge impact in Bollywood with her debut, it would be interesting to see her again in a Hindi film, she has already signed one Malayalam and one Tamil movie.
