Actress are not depended on actors to make the film successful : Kalki Koechlin

Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin made her identity in Bollywood after talking time. She started her career with 20089 film Dev D. Kalki who played Opinionated , unconventional roles says that in Hindi Cinema, women are capable to balance films . kalki say that in today's world, Bollywood actress are not dependent on male actors to make the film successful. Kalki told about changes in actress i her 7 years career of Bollywood, ' . I think there has been some consciousness in that aspect.' In film Queen and Piku, actress are seen in lead role in which they were not dependent on Male actors'. Kalki Koechlin gave a statement in press conference that she was present last week for the Kingfisher Ultra Bangalore Derby 2016. On the question, Does she see women-centric films as trend?, she said, 'Phases and trends happen because there is a need for them and I will be happy, when you will not need such film. Today Women are empowered. As long as women are in need of being recognised, I think this phase will continue.' Kalki who is active in theatres, she has done films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Happy Ending and performed her character very well. Kalki was asked why is she not active in commercial films? She said, 'I would love to do such films more, if I get offers.' When asked, So what makes parallel cinema not do as well as commercial films in the country? on this she said, 'this answer lies in distribution system.' Kalki said, 'Parallel cinema or small budget films don't get much good distribution like commercial films. So that's why it's shows are for a day or two. Till the time, Distributors will not give more days to release, we can't make money from such films.'
